This Week at the Farm: Final Weekend, Sales, CCF Babies!

This is the final weekend of the season for us! Our farmstand will be open this Friday 12–6, Saturday 10–3, and Sunday 10–3, then we are closed for the winter.

We still have a full range of fall veggies and winter squash, along with fresh greens, in the farmstand. Our kitchen staff will be whipping up meals, sweets, and baked goods for you, too! (Think: daal with roasted vegetables, coconut tapioca pudding, baguettes, and cookies.)

Make sure to stop by and take advantage of our end of season sales. We’d love to see you one last time before the farmstand closes for the winter!

Join Our Team!

We’re hiring a Sales and Marketing Manager to identify and maximize sales opportunities while maintaining the strong values and integrity that define our organization. This person will manage our farmstand, oversee retail sales from our cafe and farmers’ markets, coordinate and promote CSA programs and wholesale accounts, and guide the marketing of all farm programs. Read the full job description here.

Welcome Babies!

Please join us in congratulating Michelle, our Annuals & Perennials Manager, and her husband Koty on the birth of their son and daughter! Twins Augustus Walter Shane (6 lbs 2 oz) and Indigo Winona Shane (6 lbs 4 oz) were born earlier this fall, on October 21. Both are about 12 pounds now and starting to smile and babble! They’ll be hard at work seeding in no time…

The winter is a bittersweet time where things slow down for us (although never all the way!), the farm stops production, and we have some quiet time to reflect on the past season and prepare for the future. We’re still planning our crop rotations, ordering seeds, planning education programming, and connecting with the community.

So be sure to keep an eye out for occasional updates and announcements about CSA, our education programs, and the 2020 season!

–From all of us
