Fall Blooming Native Plants for Pollinator Support – Identification Walk and Talk
September 27, 2026 1:00pm–2:30pmJoin Tobi Schulman of Bird and Bee Native Plants for Native Plant ID stroll. Many of our late summer and fall blooming native plants are a beautiful and important part of the late summer and fall landscape. Come on a stroll and get to know some of them better, and learn the tools you need to help you learn them all. Not only do Asters, Goldenrods, and other fall blooming species make our landscape beautiful, they provide important pollen and nectar to pollinators including many wild bee species, including many specialist bees, butterflies (including Monarchs), moths, beetles, and other pollinators during this season. We will talk about some of the importance of supporting at risk and specialist bees and how to help record observations of pollinators we see visiting these flowers. We will discuss plant identification tools to help you get to know your landscape better, using iNaturalist to log observations of pollinators to help scientists, and the Go Botany website as identification resources. -
