Zack Herman
Summer Camp Director & Education Lead
Zack joined the team at Cedar Circle Farm & Education Center as our Summer Camp Director & Education Lead in 2025. He brings a background in place-based learning, farming, and environmental science.
Zack hails from Cohasset, Massachusetts. He first developed an appreciation for place-based learning while in high school, during a semester at The Mountain School in Vermont. Zack went on to study Environmental Science at Colorado College before returning to his hometown to work at Holly Hill Farm—an educational farm where he grew in his role from part to full-time educator, then to coordinating all on-farm programs. It was there that he truly fell in love with farm-based education, recognizing the power of hands-on learning in connecting kids with the natural world.
A summer spent at Yoder Farm in Danby, Vermont deepened his passion for farming and reinforced his love for the Vermont landscape and agricultural community.
Now at Cedar Circle, Zack is excited to bring together his enthusiasm for education and sustainable farming. He looks forward to learning, growing, and exploring new ways to engage young learners in the farm’s mission.
