Katie Slickman
Annual & Perennial Lead
Katie recently joined the Cedar Circle crew as the Annual and Perennial Lead. Originally from Wisconsin, she comes with a degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainable Agriculture concentration from Warren Wilson College, outside of Asheville, North Carolina. It was there that she found her love of connecting with people, the land, and plants! She spent her time there working on the garden, medicinal herb, and landscaping crews in between classes and during the summer months.
Since graduating, Katie has worked on several other organic vegetable and flower farms, a plant nursery, and a florist in places like Washington, Montana, and South Carolina. She is excited to settle in the Upper Valley! She is grateful for the opportunity to focus her energy on integrating within a new community while helping others to learn about the importance of native plants and pollinators. She is especially psyched to combine her knowledge of herbalism with the native plant world.
Outside of the farm, you can find her making herbal creations, hiking, writing poetry, and hanging out by the river. Come find her in the greenhouses and say hello!
