We Love the Kitchen Crew!

Cedar Circle Farm’s commercial kitchen has been in operation for 10 years. Everyday the crew provides our farmstand and café with delicious lunch offerings, baked goods, canned goods, condiments and more! The kitchen works closely with the vegetable production department to use surplus produce. What you receive is food that highlights the best of what’s in season. In addition to our produce the kitchen strives to use local and organic ingredients whenever possible.

Our Kitchen Manager Gail has been with us for 6 seasons. Alongside her is her daughter, Lucy who has been with us for four seasons, and Pam who has been with us for 5 seasons. They are supported by a seasonal crew of four. Together they brainstorm new baked goods, dream up dinner shares and listen to lots of crime podcasts and classic rock.

Gail’s signature dish is the pestos, salad dressings and spanakopita. Without Pam there would be no cider doughnuts, coffee cakes, herb rolls, banana bread or chocolate beet cake. Lucy is our most prolific idea woman with S’more Kits, Everything Croissants, Pretzels, Tarts, Cheesecakes, and FOCACCIA all brought to life by her!

In addition to their kitchen duties, the primary responsibility of the kitchen crew is making sure that Farm Cat Steve (seen here cuddling a baby baguette) gets treats and daily pets. The kitchen offers a summer and fall Friday night dinner share. This vegetarian, prepared food CSA is a delicious and adventurous way to support local food production! CSA signups open in October for 2022.
