Kelsey Head
Education Programs Manager
Kelsey is an avid life-long learner and passionate recreationalist. Her teaching journey began at the University of Vermont where she earned her undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies with a focus on Environmental Education. From there, she taught as a Farm to School Educator with Island Grown Schools on Martha’s Vineyard, and then made her way to Colorado to earn a Master’s degree in Science Education from the University of Northern Colorado, while teaching outdoor science education at Walking Mountains Science Center. After earning her masters, Kelsey co-founded a non-profit, micro-middle school called Zealous Schools, where she taught both science and math and directed multiple campuses (including the county’s first ever all female-identifying-school!).
Outside of the classroom, Kelsey is a mom, a mountain bike coach (and lover of all things biking), ceramicist, gardener and general outdoors & science nerd (using that term endearingly, of course).
Having hailed from just down river of Cedar Circle Farm in Norwich, VT, Kelsey is stoked to be back in the Upper Valley to raise her young family and get her hands dirty in farm to school education once again! If you see her around the farm or at your school, ask her about her favorite topics - pottery, tacos, or environmental education ;)
