Summer Camp Head Educator (2025)
Full-time, seasonal
June 16 - August 15, 2025
Cedar Circle Farm & Education Center is hosting the ninth year of its unique, farm-based summer day camp program for children ages 6-11. Eight individual weeks of camp, Monday to Friday, are scheduled from June 23 to August 15, with a mandatory staff training session from June 16 to 20. The camp day runs from 9 am to 4 pm, and the Head Educator’s time on the farm will typically be 8:30 to 4:30. There is a capacity of 30 campers per week, and Educators guide groups of about 10 during camp activities and farm explorations. Educators are assisted by a Mentor Educator, who floats between groups and activities throughout the day. Mentors in Training and, sometimes, adult volunteers may also be available to assist.
The Head Educator works closely with the Summer Camp Director throughout the day to ensure programs are running smoothly, including assisting with check in/out procedures, leading group circles, leading activities, training and guiding MITs, running all camp activities, and, when not leading a group themselves, moves between groups to assist educators and the Director where needed.
