Signature Products Assistant

Our farm kitchen creates a variety of signature products, such as spreads, salad dressings, granola, baked goods, and unique to our farm. We are seeking a detail-oriented Signature Products Assistant to help prepare, package, and maintain inventory of these unique offerings. This is a part-time, seasonal position (May – November), approximately 20 hours per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintaining inventory of signature products in farmstand.
- Preparing, packaging and labelling signature products.
- Maintaining a clean workspace.
- Communicating with Kitchen Manager on ordering ingredients.
- Prepare Cedar Circle’s signature products following established recipes and production guidelines.
- Portion, label, and package products for sale in the farmstand; Monitor and maintain stock levels.
- Monitor ingredient inventory and coordinate with the Kitchen Manager for timely ordering and restocking.
- Ensure consistency in flavor, texture, and appearance of products through tasting and practice.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, wash dishes (as needed), and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Work independently and stay focused in a busy kitchen environment while meeting production goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Some experience in a kitchen, food production, or food retail setting is preferred.
- Ability to follow recipes precisely and replicate products with consistency.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable adjusting recipes for different batch sizes and making ingredient substitutions as needed.
- Able to take direction, ask questions when needed, and receive constructive feedback.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of a shift.
COMPENSATION
The Prepared Foods Assistant position is full-time and seasonal, from May through December, with benefits including paid sick leave, fresh produce, and a 20% discount to our farmstand. Pay range is $15-16/hr, depending on experience. Ability to work the full season is a plus.
