The Appointment

When you arrive for your appointment, please park in our farmstand parking lot. Our flower staff will greet you in the farmstand and give you coupons for tea and coffee from our Hello Café.

While you and your party enjoy your drinks and perhaps some baked goods from our farm kitchen, our staff will be setting up your vases* and preparing for you to begin cutting and arranging.

*You will need to bring all of the vessels that you plan on using for your event, washed out and ready to go. Before your appointment, please remove any unnecessary lids and make sure that all your containers can hold water without leaking.

When it’s time to begin cutting, you will be provided with scissors and buckets and head across the street to our one-acre flower garden. Once the flowers are picked, you will begin arranging your flowers and creating your centerpieces. A staff member will be with you at all times to help guide you, help with arrangements, and answer any questions you may have.

Once your arrangements are complete, you can either take them with you or leave them with us to be stored in our cooler until the day of your event. We offer delivery or you can come back to pick them up on the day of your event. Delivery prices are based on mileage and there is a $25 fee for storage.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to bring with me on the day of my appointment?
You will need to bring all of the vases you plan to use for your event. Please make sure that all vases are clean, and before your appointment, remove any unnecessary lids and make sure that all your containers can hold water without leaking.

We also recommend that you bring sunscreen, a hat, a water bottle, and a raincoat, depending on the forecast. Weather in Vermont can be unpredictable, so it’s best to be prepared!

What happens if I have to cancel or reschedule my booking?
While we appreciate as much notice as possible, there are no cancellation fees if you are not able to make it to your appointment.

What if there is bad weather forecasted for the day of my appointment?
We have never had to cancel an appointment due to weather. However, if severe weather is in the forecast, including thunderstorms or heavy rain, we may harvest loose stems a day before your appointment and hold them for you in our coolers. We may also contact you and suggest a different day or time that looks more favorable. If weather conditions require us to cancel your appointment we will inform you no later than a week prior to your appointment date.

In the event of bad weather, we will plan accordingly and make sure we have an indoor space available for you to arrange your flowers. But that said, bring a raincoat!

How many people can I bring with me to cut and arrange flowers?
You can bring up 10 people to help you cut and arrange your flowers. Most parties have found that 5 to 6 people is a comfortable number.

You have so many flowers in the garden, why can’t you fit me in on the day I want?
To ensure the best picking experience, we limit the number of parties per day and per week. This is to make sure each party has an adequate number of flowers and to reduce stress on the gardens.

What kinds of flowers will be available on the day I come to pick?
Click here to see what is likely to be available during specific times of the year. Because we do all of our growing outdoors, flower variety and abundance of particular colors can vary depending on the time of year. They can also vary from week to week. Because of this, it is important that you are somewhat flexible with your vision.

Do you have suggestions for local venue and vendors?
Yes! Click here to see what we recommend.

What if I want my arrangements to include flowers that are not grown at Cedar Circle Farm?
