Backyard Chickens

Saturday, Oct 13, 2018
2:00-3:30 PM

Thinking about adding a few feathered friends to your family? Cedar Circle staff is welcoming interested families to an afternoon workshop sharing all the ins and outs of small-scale chicken husbandry. If you are interested in getting your own chickens in the warmer months, this is a great opportunity to gather some information before starting your flock. Participate in a hands-on session highlighting our own flock and chicken infrastructure, have your questions answered by experienced chicken raisers, and do it all while enjoying time with your flock…we mean, family!

Home Gardening

2:00-3:30 PM

Bring the family out to Cedar Circle Farm for an afternoon of home gardening tips and tricks. Whether veggies, flowers, or herbs—we are happy to share techniques for successful, sustainable gardening in the comfort of your backyard or community garden bed. Families will work together to design their ideal garden and even take a few seed packets home to set them on the right path. Begin planning for next season now, so you can hit the ground running in the spring. Grow together as a family and join us for this one-of-a-kind workshop!
