Dedicated “Willing Hands” Garden
Every year, Cedar Circle Farm & Education Center donates produce that did not sell in the farmstand to Willing Hands, an organization dedicated to getting more farm-fresh produce into the food pantries of the region. Willing Hands picks up from our farm, as well as grocery stores and other farmstands from the area. Cedar Circle Farm has donated over 4,000 pounds of food through Willing Hands. We also set aside a one-acre plot to grow vegetables exclusively for Willing Hands. We donated the seedlings and our crew did a lot of the planting, cultivation, and picking. Willing Hands also organized volunteers from the community to work on the garden plot.
